Medium Chance Of Development - 7/29/24 - 10AM EDT

We are still monitoring a wave east of the Caribbean for development later this week. there’s currently a 50% chance of development through 7 days per the nhc. no development will occur in the next few days due to dry air in the vicinity of the wave. The euro and its ensembles remain consistent in developing this wave later this week once it nears the bahamas while other major guidance shows little to no development. we want to stress, there’s quite a bit of uncertainty with this system and it may not develop at all. we are in agreement with the 50/50 odds the nhc currently has for its chances. it will be tracking towards land, so we need to continue to monitor for development. at this point in time, there’s no reason to worry in the caribbean, bahamas, fl or the se u.s coast. just continue to check the outlook section of the app for the latest tropical weather outlooks from the nhc. we also post the euro ensembles there 1-2x per day. we will issue a new post here in a couple of days with the latest information. the nhc may tag this as an invest soon and at that point we will have more data for you in the app. thanks for using the hurricane tracker app and have a great week everyone.

7/29/24 am visible satellite loop shows some broad turning. It is currently surrounded by dry air.

EURO ensembles show a tropical storm potentially developing near the Bahamas later this week then possibly turning N/NE just off the eastern U.S. coast.

GFS ensembles are not quite as excited about development near the Bahamas with this system.
