Invest 96L has out-performed the models in last 24 hours and now has a 70% chance of development per the NHC. Direct impacts to the northeastern Caribbean & Puerto Rico are increasing for this weekend. It should become a depression or Tropical Storm Fiona within the next few days. It's too soon to know if this will end up being a U.S. threat. Some models show it turning north into the Atlantic and others take it farther west. Stay tuned for updates.
