Ana is stationary and will not move much until late Saturday. The system is sitting over the warm waters of the Gulf Stream and may intensity a bit before weakening as it nears the coast sometime late this weekend. Dry air in the mid-levels of the atmosphere is wrapping into the system keeping it in check. Not going to be a big impact storm, but for early May it is impressive.

We do want to stress again that this will not be a high-impact storm. All residents and interests along the SC/NC coastlines, please pay close attention to this developing weather system as there is strong potential of the system making landfall this weekend.
