Arthur is quickly racing off the the NE this afternoon after pummeling Eastern North Carolina. The storm is large enough that rain (5-8 inches) & Tropical Storm force winds will be felt over Nantucket & Cape Cod, MA this evening and into SE Maine late tonight. Early Saturday AM, Arthur will begin to weaken and transition into an extratropical cyclone while bringing storm force conditions to portions of SE Canada. The good news is that Arthur is a fast moving storm and the effects will not last more than 6-8 hours. Here is a look at the forecasted wind band from the NHC:
