Watching Invest 97L & New Invest 98L Near Africa

97L - We are closely watching Invest 97L as it moves west towards the Caribbean. The system has been pulsing up and down with convection as it has remained stationary. It remains disorganized and will take time to develop, if it does. The future of this system is very uncertain at this time. A tropical disturbance in the NW Yucatan & a new wave coming off Africa have a low development chance during the next 5 days.

98L - A tropical wave accompanied by a low pressure system has moved off the west coast of Africa about 650 miles southeast of the Cape Verde Islands. This disturbance is beginning to show signs of organization and environmental conditions are expected to be marginally conducive for development. At this time, this system has a low chance of developing during the next 5 days
