TS Debby Is Getting Stronger - 8/4/24 11AM EDT
Tropical Storm Debby is strengthening today and is expected to become a hurricane sometime later today. Winds are now forecasted to peak near 90 mph prior to landfall along the Big Bend region of the Florida coast Monday morning. Once Debby moves into southern Georgia, it will dramatically slow down, and this will lead to 1 to 2 feet of possible rainfall across portions of Georgia and the Carolinas. Debby is expected to weaken into a depression later this week and it remains to be seen if it will track back out into the open Atlantic. Please stay safe if you are along the path of Debby.
