Code red alert from the NHC on Invest 94L. There’s now a high chance of development. This one will track west towards the Lesser Antilles late next week. Going back to 2000, only two systems have impacted the Lesser Antilles from the east this late in the season, with that being Tomas (CAT 2) in 2010 and Gonzalo (CAT 1) in 2014. There is still plenty of time to watch how this system evolves, but we see an increasing threat for the central and northern Lesser Antilles from this system. Puerto Rico should monitor as well.
