Agatha intensified overnight and has become a hurricane with 85 mph winds. Landfall in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico will occur Monday evening as a category 2 hurricane with winds near 110 mph. Flash flooding, dangerous winds, mudslides and damaging storm surge will occur along the track. Some remnants may track into the southern Gulf of Mexico and possibly provide a spark for development. The NHC states there’s currently a 30% chance of development through the next 5 days in the southern Gulf of Mexico. Stay tuned for updates.
