Tropical Storm Nicholas has just formed in the southern Gulf of Mexico. It will track north towards the Texas coast brining up to a 5-10 inches of rain to coastal Texas and SW Louisiana. Most of the Texas coast may see storm surge up tp 4 feet. Winds are expected to peak near 65 mph. At this time, Nicholas is not expected to become a hurricane, but we will monitor future forecasts. Landfall is expected Tuesday.
