9/10/17 - 9:30 AM EDT

The center of Hurricane Irma made landfall at Cudjoe Key in the lower Florida Keys at 9:10 am EDT.  A gust to 106 mph (171 km/h) was just reported at the National Key Deer Refuge in Big Pine Key. This marks the first time two Category 4+ storms have made landfall in the U.S. in the same hurricane season. However, this storm is far from over as Irma will continue to bring dangerous conditions to the rest of the FL Peninsula and into the Southeastern U.S. during the next few days.

Note: Due to extremely high traffic due to Irma right now, you may notice a temporary slow down ONLY at the time a push notification is sent . Check back a few minutes later as the app will be back to normal. We will address this in our next update. Thank you!
