For the first time in 1,081 days, we have a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico. Hermine was just upgraded to a CAT 1 75 mph hurricane and will bring impacts from FL all the way to New England. This will be the first landfalling hurricane in FL since Wilma in 2005, ending a 10.9 year hurricane drought. We will have a full discussion this evening after the 5PM NHC advisory with the expected impacts from Hermine.
