6/1/16 - Hurricane Season Officially Begins Today. More Development?
Just a quick post for now. Today marks the official start to the 2016 Atlantic Hurricane Season. It does appear we have a chance at seeing our third system develop within the next 5 days in the SE Gulf. The NHC will weigh in at some point, but we think there’s a 30% chance of development at this time given the model data. If development occurs, it's expected to be fairly weak and east-weighted. Meaning, all of the rain and wind gusts would be on the east side of the low. If you are in FL, please keep an eye on developments. At the very least, rain in on the way. Will update this post as more data comes in.
