Hurricane Season Starts 6/1/2015
The Atlantic Hurricane Season officially starts on June 1. Pre-season forecasts are calling for a below-average season due to the developing El Nino across the tropical Pacific (promotes wind shear in the Atlantic inhibiting development). The water is also below-average across the tropical Atlantic. You can still have dangerous, landfalling systems even in "slow" seasons. We will be covering the tropics and begin watching the models in early May to keep you informed! Thanks for using Hurricane Tracker & check back for updates.
