We have an area of disturbed weather in the extreme SW Caribbean and it now appears most of the energy will move over into the Eastern Pacific where it may spawn development there. Elsewhere in the Atlantic it is mainly quiet. Something may try and form north of Puerto Rico over the next several days, but a path out to sea looks to be a certainty. 7 more weeks left in the Atlantic Hurricane Season, but it's becoming clear that 2014 will be one of the most inactive seasons in many years.
The GFS/EURO models are developing a tropical cyclone N of Puerto Rico this weekend. Stay tuned here for updates as activity may begin ramping up a bit.
