Invest 97L located in the western Caribbean Sea was designated by The National Hurricane Center. This disturbance has a high chance of developing and we should have a depression or tropical storm form sometime Tuesday or Wednesday. This system will be pulled to the north and is likely to bring big impacts to portions of the northern or northeastern Gulf Coast later this week. All interests from Louisiana to Florida should monitor 97L closely as it could become a powerful hurricane later this week.
