Hurricane Season Starts Soon

The 2024 hurricane season for the Atlantic is just now one month away while the eastern Pacific season begins in 2 weeks on May 15th.

The Atlantic season is still expected to be way above average. Here are some of the forecast numbers that have come out thus far from reputable outlets:

University of PA: 33 total storms

Weatherbell: 25-30 total storms

Weather Channel: 24 total storms

Colorado State: 23 total storms

Average year: 14 total storms

The tropical Atlantic continues to run way above average for this time of year.
