TS Kirk has formed in the far eastern Atlantic well south of the Cabo Verde Islands. Kirk is expected to move quickly across the deep tropical Atlantic. At this time Kirk is not expected to become a hurricane or impact any land areas within the next 5 days. We will monitor the progress of this system & keep you up to date on any forecast changes.

Tropical Depression 11 has formed about 500 miles east of the Windward Islands. TD 11 is forecasted to dissipate in a few days due to strong upper level wind shear.
Sent to Southeast and Mid-Atlantic push regions:
Florence officially made landfall near Wrightsville Beach, NC at 7:15 AM EDT this morning with a wind gust of 105 mph recorded at Wilmington Airport. Impacts from Florence will continue in the Carolinas for the next 2 days as Florence will be very slow to leave the region.
