Hurricane Florence update: Hurricane Conditions are spreading across the Cape Lookout North Carolina Area. Landfall will likely occur near Wilmington, NC tomorrow morning. The hurricane is only moving at 5 mph and hurricane conditions, intense rain & catastrophic storm surge will continue in some areas for 24-48 more hours. Stay safe if you are in the path.

A Hurricane Warning has been issued from South Santee River, South Carolina, to Duck, North Carolina, and the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds. A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued from north of the North Carolina/Virginia border to Cape Charles Light, Virginia, and for the Chesapeake Bay south of New Point Comfort. Invest 95L now has a 50% chance of development within 2 days & 70% chance within 5 days. the NHC says data suggests its becoming better organized and a recon mission is scheduled for tomorrow, if necessary. Interests in the western Gulf should closely monitor the progress of this system.
