8/30/24 - Watching Central Atlantic Wave Closely
We're still watching the wave in the central Atlantic. The NHC states there's a medium chance of development. Based on new data this afternoon, we believe the NHC will be increasing changes in their future tropical outlooks. We may see tropical storm impacts to portions of the eastern Caribbean early this coming week. Later next week, data is showing the system strengthening into a hurricane once in the central or western Caribbean. From there, the Gulf of Mexico may be open and the environment appears quite favorable at this time. Just keep this on your radar and check in over the next 7-10 days. Obviously, this is still a bit out and we will keep you as updated as possible.
