The Hurricane Warning has been extended N for the east coast of FL to Sebastian Inlet, and along the west coast of the peninsula north to Anna Maria Island. The Hurricane Watch has been extended northward along the west coast of Florida to Suwannee River. Finally, a Storm Surge Watch has been issued north of Venice to the Anclote River, including Tampa Bay, & from Ponce Inlet to the Flagler/ Volusia County Line. Irma will begin to impact southern FL tomorrow with a landfall forecasted Sunday AM in South FL. Winds will be near 160 mph (CAT 5) at landfall. Irma will bring hurricane force winds along the entire FL peninsula which will lead to lots of damage and power outages. If you are in the path of the storm, rush all preparations to completion TODAY. Irma is a catastrophic hurricane and will rival Andrew, Charley & Wilma.
