Irma has been upgraded to a Category 5 hurricane with winds of 175 mph. Impacts begin in the Leeward Islands later today. Hurricane warnings are in effect in the region. Irma will head towards the Bahamas and FL later this week. All residents and interests along the path should prepare now.
