TS Nate has formed near the coast of Nicaragua. Heavy rains and flooding are expected across portions of Central America as Nate moves through the region. Nate will track into the Gulf of Mexico this weekend and likely make landfall Sunday somewhere along the northern Gulf coast from SE LA to AL, possibly as a Category 1 hurricane. All interests in this region should monitor the progress of Nate over the next few days.
