Some good news this morning. Chantal is really struggling and has a ragged appearance on satellite. The hurricane hunters are finding lower pressures and slightly higher winds, but until Chantal slows its forward motion it won't be able to organize much. There is a chance it could open back up into a wave as it will be battling some moderate wind shear over the next 2-3 days.

Tropical storm warnings and watches are in effect for parts of the Caribbean including Puerto Rico. Chantal will continue to the west-nw over the next few days. By the end of the week it is possible that Chantal may affect some portion of the southeast US. Too early for details. Stay tuned. See the latest models below.
