Tropical Stom Karl Forms

Tropical Depression 12 was upgraded to Tropical Storm Karl. Over the next several days, Karl will track generally towards west or even west-southwest and then begin to turn NW around Tue/Wed of next week. At this time it appears Karl will track well north of the Caribbean and will likely become a strong hurricane next week. Chances of a U.S. impact from Karl are very low, but interests in Bermuda should monitor this system over the next 7-10 days. We will let you know if there any major changes with Karl's forecast. Thanks for using Hurricane Tracker.

Surprise! TS Julia Forms Over Northeast FL

It's not often that a tropical cyclone forms over land, but every now and then it does happen. TS Julia has formed over northeast Florida and will track north-northwest and weaken through the day tomorrow. Tropical Storm warnings are in effect for portions of NE FL & SE GA. Heavy rain up to 6" inches with localized flooding and gusty winds will be the main threats. Behind Julia, we are watching Invest 95L off the coast of Africa and it has a 50% chance of developing at this time. We will have to see how far west it tracks.
