Petersburg area, and southward along the east coast of Florida to

Hermine Getting Stronger & Hurricane Warnings Have Been Issued

We wanted to publish a quick update to let you know that hurricane warnings have been issued as Hermine is now forecasted to become a category one hurricane. Winds are up to 65 mph and further strengthening is anticipated.

Here's the latest from the NHC as of their 8AM EDT advisory. Hermine now has winds of 65 mph and should become a hurricane before landfall late tonight along the FL Gulf coast. Hurricane warnings have been issued from Suwannee River, FL to Mexico Beach, FL. Also, watches and warnings have been expanded (see image below for all watches & warnings). All residents and interests along the path, please follow the progress of this system closely. Please review our alert level map and key below to help determine what actions you may need to take if you are in the path. All preparations should be rushed to completion by early this afternoon.
