Maria has been upgraded to a Category 4 hurricane with winds of 130 mph. The NHC does forecast winds to peak near 155 mph as it approaches Puerto Rico Wed am. A hurricane warning is now in effect for Puerto Rico, Culebra, and Vieques. After passing over Puerto Rico on Wednesday, Maria will impact The Dominican Republic & Haiti on Thursday and possibly the Turks & Caicos & Bahamas Friday & Saturday. The latest guidance suggests that Maria will turn north and eventually northeast away from the United States, but that track is not yet set in stone as it's still over a week away. Stay tuned to the Hurricane Tracker App for updates on Maria.

Hurricane Tracker iPhone App Users: iOS 11 is expected to be released by Apple tomorrow and it's critical that you go ahead and grab our app update from the App Store before updating to iOS 11 or the current version of your App will not properly function on the new iOS. Our update that is now live in the App Store brings full iOS 11 compatibility to ensure the app runs smooth. Thanks for using Hurricane Tracker!

Note: Our iPad App will run just fine on iOS 11, but we have submitted an update that fixes some bugs. It's pending Apple's review and hope to release this week.
