Some very dry air is being drawn into Karen's circulation, greatly reducing convection and is causing Karen to struggle this afternoon. This was not picked up by the computer models. This is very good news for the Gulf Coast as there is a good chance Karen may dissipate due to the dry air. Tropical Storms need a moist environment to thrive.
